Posted by Kitty on Apr 7th 2014
The 2014 Intense Tracer T275 Carbon is the latest release by Intense Cycles. This 160mm, 27.5' inch wheel carbon bicycle is somewhat of an update on the previous version, the 27.5 inch Tracer Alloy, but it is also more than that.
Are you a fan of Intense? We'd love to hear what your thoughts on the brand are in the comment section below.
The T275 Parts Intense Cycles is known for producing non assembled, complete bikes, that is just the frames and the kits. This means the independent bike shop does the assembly and the fine tuning. Consequently, this also means that each bike shop can use their own components to create the actual complete bike and therefore it is a very good idea to not buy Intense cycles online but rather take a trip to your professional bike shop. This ensures that you receive their high end bikes in perfect tuned up condition.
It is known that the company does not produce all of its carbon frames within the USA, although all of the aluminum pieces are manufactured in the California-based factory.
The aluminum frames have gained a reputation of being somewhat unique when compared with the carbon frames. The former do not boast as many welds or even custom tubes, although many do not feel that this takes away from the 2014 Intense Tracer T275 Carbon. It is believed that the frame itself makes it easier for this bike to be able to exploit the size of the wheels, including the rate curves. Overall, this has been configured to be able to make long distance traveling somewhat easier.
Aesthetic Appearance The 2014 Intense Tracer T275 Carbon is available in different sizes to better suit the riders, including small, medium and large. The bikes are also available in bare carbon and red. Of course, these bikes are available with a range of extras and spares, allowing individuals to make a purchase, as well as any necessary adjustments, according to their own preferences
Making Adjustments One of the adjustable facets of this bike the adjustable pivot bearings, which are located at the rocker pivots. Individuals can do this by threading their hex fittings, which are locked by tapered Collete's that are contained within the pivot axles.
There are a variety of cables that are housed within the downtube. The dropper seatpost, however, is actually routed on the outer side of the downtube and it is then threaded into the lower seat tube through a port in the lower section of this facet of the bike. This sort of housing allows the assembly to be completed without much difficulty, and also ensures that all of the crud is limited to only two access points.
Construction In terms of construction, the 2014 Intense Tracer T275 Carbon is considered to have been put together with high standards in mind. The frame itself is considered to be detailed. It is believed, however, that this version has a somewhat lower bottom bracket when compared with the previous version, which was manufactured from aluminum.
Stabilizing Force Stabilization is integral to a quality bicycle. According to the experts, the 27.5 inch wheels of the 2014 Intense Tracer T275 Carbon ensure that the axle center remains a half inch just below the axles of the wheels. This basically ensures that the bike remains stable, and this is also something that wasn't available with the 26 inch version.
The head angle on the 2014 Intense Tracer T275 Carbon is also almost an entire degree slacker than its alloy counterpart. What is more, the seat tube angle has also been increased to make climbing somewhat simpler, and this has also improved the pedaling.
The manufacturers have placed the seat tube angle at 70.5 degrees, allowing taller riders to be able to move the seat backwards, making it somewhat more comfortable for them to ride.
Brian Lopes And Intense Cycles Partner Up It was announced just a few weeks ago that Brian Lopes is joining Intense Cycles after officially splitting with Ibis Cycles. This comes after Lopes and Ibis Cycles spent 7 years in partnership. Over the years, Lopes has displayed the abilities of the Ibis Cycles product line after not only winning the XC Eliminator World Cup, but also competing extremely well at the Whistler Air DH races.
Brian Lopes hasn't yet been known to officially race with Intense Cycles' bikes, but it is believed that he is just what the company needs to breathe some life into their line. This also comes right after the release of their new product, the 2014 Intense Tracer T275 Carbon. It is believes that he will make this new product his own in many of the upcoming events lined up throughout the year. It might be during these races that fans get a real taste of what the bike, and Lopes, is capable of.
2014 is set to be somewhat of an exciting year for Intense Cycles, and it remains to be seen what they can accomplish by its end.
