Great fitThe Fairfax 2 is an outstanding bike for the money, this is my second Marin bike as I have a Marin hardtail mountain bike. This bike has all the features the higher priced Treks, Giants and Raleigh's have in the same class. I like the low gearing option as I like to ride the mountains of North Carolina and this suits me well for a guy 71 +. The internal cable routing is great, gives the bike a crisp clean look. As far as performance its a bit stiff but I'm a big Steel Is Real guy (old school never dies). tires are great although , but I didn't realize they were shader valve until I got it out of the box, no problem, easier to maintain. I would say if your looking for a great bike to do casual day touring this is a good choice, sometimes you have to slow down and smell the roses. Overall 4.5 Stars.
