5 Cycling Hacks to Make Your Ride More Comfortable

These hacks will make your ride better and more enjoyable, and most of them meant to save you money!!
Duct Tape
We've all been there "Ack! I wish i had some duct tape on me!" Imagine how wonderful it would feel to be able to produce a strip of duct tape when you need it out on a ride. No, we're not going to tell you to bring a whole roll of it with you. Wrap a strip around your seat post and you're all set for a quick fix on the road.
Duct tape is not just for your bike. You can use it to temporarily waterproof a torn shoe (to a certain extent), or for any of the personal effects you bring with you on your ride.
Bar Wrapping
Double wrap your bars starting from the end of your drops. You'll soak up road noise and wrapping from the drop prevents unraveling and streaming everywhere during your ride. You could also wrap your bars with old inner tube, which will definitely dampen road noise. Definitely a more comfortable ride and look at you, recycling and doing more to save the Earth!
This is a hack done by most pros, so definitely worth checking out to see if it works for you.
Secret Stash Cash
Most cyclists want to carry as little as possible when out riding and carry only their ID and one credit card. Believe it or not, there are situations out there where you'll need to pay for something and they don't have a credit card reader. Sticking a $10 or $20 bill in your stem is a great way to have emergency funds in a time of need. Or you can wad up a $100 bill into a ball like in the picture above for no apparent reason at all. Why does this picture even exist?

Larger Tires
The road a bit rough? Try larger tires with lower pressure. Every time you see a bike with fat tires, don' t you envy the smooth glide, the not having to worry about every dip, crack and bump in the road? No? Just us? A fatter tire for a smoother ride. Bring your bike into the shop and check out the options, make your ride more comfortable. Life's bumpy enough.
OR you can get this beauty made by Elux Electric (above) for true comfort. The 2019 Tahoe Classic is a fat tire ebike that basically does all the work for you. Hop on and zip around in comfort and style.
Front Switch, Rear Replace
Your rear tires wear out almost twice as fast as your front tire. When it's time to replace your rear tire, get a new front tire and switch the original front to the rear. This is not only cost effective for you, it encourages you to maintain your bike more regularly.
